Full Title  of Project

“SHAPING THE PRINCIPLES AND DEVELOPMENT AREAS FOR HEALTH-ORIENTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION”, SHAPE

Overwiew:

Hungarian School Sport Federation’s (HSSF) first proposal in the frame of the ERASMUS+ programme in sport was presented in May 2014. The HSSF is the coordinator and expert leader of the project, and is the only organization from Hungary to have been selected for co-funding within the Sport in ERASMUS+ programme. The official name of the project is “Shaping the principles and development areas for health-oriented physical education based upon the comparative analysis of the core curricula in some EU member states in order to establish a common European framework”, shortly SHA P.E. Beside HSSF the project partners are the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece, the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University, Department of Sports Medicine, from Germany, Kaunas University of Technology, from Lithuania, University Ljubljana from Slovenia. The Dutch Institute of Healthcare Improvement (CBO) also participated during first phase of the implementation in 2015, and European Physical Education Association (EUPEA) as contributing expert is also actively involved in the project.

The essential goal of the SHA P.E. project is to compare regulatory documents and system of school physical education in the affected member countries, and – based on this analysis – to give recommendations for concrete interventions on developing health oriented quality physical education by establishing the European Framework of Quality Physical Education.

Indirectly the project is aiming the goal to incite a discussion on establishing a new Life-long Learning (LLL) Key Competence area related to health-oriented life management within the European Qualification Framework
